What to say about that? Why would we say it would be out 2007 when LT came out in 2007? You might wanna think before typing next time.
Because we are taking our time with an album rather than rushing it out, we are letting you down? I suppose you would like us to record any old shit and just put it out yeah? And i dont know where you are getting 3 years from, the last record came out July 06, our last show was August 07, its now june 08. So 2 years since the last record, and a year since our last show. Not 3. Im not releasing anything till im happy with it, so tough shit. And if thats not good enough then im sorry, but whatevs.
As for other stuff, the other thing ive been working on is almost ready, and i think im gonna tell all next week. Gooooood timessssss.

seems like there are 'fans' who dont appreciate your perfectionism that much.. well.. we were used to hear from you guys almost everyday in magazines or concerts or vlogs. and suddenly you almost disappear to produce an amazing record. some of us aren't patient enough to go through this time period without missing you guys. going online everyday and expecting to read new stuff or find new pictures and then realize that there is nothing new to stalk after.. there are no new pictures and no one knows how your hair looks like at the moment.. since you are a part of some people's day, there is a piece missing..

nice response. i think you should be ablt to take as long as you like...so hopefully ist should be the most amazing album ever. good luck with all your shows in the UK and europe. if i could i would fly out and see you guys at download. but australia is kinda far away and being a student and working in a supermarket doesn't give me enough money to buy a plane ticket. so that means you should do a tour of melbourne when the album's done. :-) and i remember reading/hearing somewhere that you said you weren't going to play another show until the album was done. which means it has to be done by june 5th :-) can't wait to see what you've been working in!! xxx

Jeeeeeeeze I've heard to much moaning from these so called fans about when this album that you guys 'owe' them is coming out!!! It'll be ready when it's ready damn it! They should be pleased that you're bothered about the music and not just putting out any old crap to cash in! There's loads to look forward to 'prophets wise in the next few months anyway, plenty of gigs and festivals.

All I would say to that guy is one thing... YOUTUBE!!! A friend told me to type in "Lostprophets New Song" and alot of stuff came up- and, amazingly enough, some of it can actually be heard over the gig noise and girls screeching "Ian I love yoooooooooooou!!!" before being clobbered by her neighbor in the crowd, who actually wants to hear it... *sighs*
Anywho, there's proof enough you've not been twiddling your thumbs for the past year or so! I love the sound of "For he's a jolly good felon," too, the title caught my interest straight away.

Don't let one comment annoy you, yes there probably are hundreds of 'fans' who think the album should have come out about 3 years ago, but the thousands of fans who don't care how long it takes, as the know that you just want it to be perfect.
Anyway, i can't wait to here what this project you've been working on is!
Whoever posted that can't be a very good fan and also must be extremely impatient! Do they not realise it takes time to produce amazing music? Or yeah do they just want something rushed? I think they expect you all to be super human...patience is a virtue people!

It's seems like some people in this world couldn't wait. I may not be an artist but maybe I know what you guys go through. Music is an art and you are trying to create the best one for us and most importantly, YOU. I've been a fan of you guys since THFSOP and I'm from Malaysia. I would say that I could wait for years for you guys to come out and entertain my ears with your cds because making anything which could be consider an art, it could take a very long time and at the end you get a good thing out of it.

It's hardly been a long wait- 2 years since the release of LT is standard for bands really. Plus, you only finished a UK arena tour a year ago and Reading/Leeds in August.
Also- I'm sure I read that you guys were just recording the new ideas you had just to make sure you had 'explored every single possibility', which is awesome. The studio clips on buzznet sounded great too, so I think you will surpass the last album in terms of quality (Y).
Best of luck at Download btw- the crowd won't exactly be full of die-hard LostProphets fans, but I'm sure you can rock hard enough to win the non-Prophets over.

real fans will always stick to lostprophets. and if you need time for a fantastic new album, you should take it. of course, we're all absolutely longing for news about you and the new album, but for me it's enough to see you at rock am ring in germany next sunday! :)
i love you and your music and forget about those stupid "fans". they're worth nothing, so don't worry about them. and take time for the fans who really appreciate your work! ;)
dont rush it, take your time, remember metallica's black album was released almost three years after 'and justice for all', so read the code.
You're increasing the chances to hit a classic, but don't go too far with it, some fans may get older and the comments may get ruder and political.
As additional note, watch the tendency, choose wisely, new mainstream rock tendencies are clearer these days, and indie is not invited, collaborations of other genres are in the guest list.
We know ur perfectionists in your music and that's why we love ur stuff so much. If you gave us "any old shit" then you'd have way fewer music fans. I guess a lot of us are just a bit restless. You guys are working so hard, but it does mean that we aren't seeing much of you around this year... but most of us can respect that it's for the greater good :-D

What the hell is that guy on about, leaving a comment showing worthless shit of what he thinks of the band. I fully agree about taking time, i would wait 10 years for next album (don't take that on board please) but it's the fact of good things go to those who fuckin wait!
Many other metal and rock bands have like 10 albums within like 7 years and the debut one starts off with a cracking line up of songs, then the rest are rushed and sound shit.
Opinions from fans are obviously what you guys get everyday, fame hey, what the fuck does it do to people. Lostprophets are the band of all bands, your live shows are amazing, your songs on every album each and every one, are amazing, your attitude towards those who treat you like shit is amazing.
Looking forward to the next album, i've waited so long, and no matter what you put on there, it will be awesome. I heard about some songs being like The Fake Sound Of Progress album, if thats the case then go for it! I heard Tepid, i think it was called that, at the UEA, the one which goes "it's not the end of the wooorld now baby" sounds great man.
Hope all is good and the lyrics and titles of songs are coming along well, and good luck at any gigs that you have soon.

Fans cant be real fans if they are pissed off with you for not having new stuff out. I dont care how long it takes for the stuff to come out, id rather it was decent than shite and it took a while to make. Thats perfectionism for ya. ;)
